Why the horseback arrows fletching so far from the nock?
It allows you more space to grab the arrow closer to the nock without messing with the fletching. It's also particularly usefully when drawing from a sword quiver. There is a way to draw and funnel the nock onto the string much faster when blind nocking if the fletching is low :)
